Here we are going into our second COVID winter and facing our newly discovered seasonal disorder of Delta Blues. We seem individually and collectively drained of hope, missing some essential ingredient to bring us beyond the attitude of “just get through it” on the one hand or “positive thinking” on the other. A rational assessment the tells us there is nothing we can do. We have been contemplating the energies needed to fortify us so we can face this together with spiritual principles that keep us grounded and whole.  

We are understanding that the quality of Hope is much more than a human sentiment. When drawn from a spiritual source, Hope is an energy that acts as an essential supply for facing difficult times and events. In this sense, Hope is as essential as water, food and air though much more intangible. 

What are the ingredients of Hope as an energy? Hope can have an emotional quality to it, but to transcend wishful fantasy and logical conclusion we must draw on higher principles and third eye vision. These important elements— 5th chakra spiritual law and 6th chakra spiritual vision— are the necessary ingredients to maintain Hope in the face of the insurmountable.
